Fall back, Spring forward...

I have to do one last post because tomorrow Raymey will have his laptop again and I'll have to use the troubled computer. Raymey and I are dorks. Last night we were talking and Raymey got excited because he remembered that today was the end of daylight savings. I asked if he was sure, and I checked on the calendar. Sure enough it said that daylight savings ended. We were really excited that we'd remembered and wouldn't show up at church early (we've done that before in Provo and we didn't get to enjoy the hour sleeping in). I went around and changed all of the clocks and we were so excited. Later, I was talking to my sister on facebook and told her not to forget to change her clock. She said that it wasn't the end of daylight savings until November and I told her to look it up. We both looked it up and of course she was right! It is next Sunday! (Our calendar said "Daylight Savings Ends" and when I rechecked I saw that in small print under that it says "select provinces". Whoops!) By this time it was midnight (not 11:00) and we had to reset all of our clocks again. It was such a tease to gain an hour and lose an hour all within the space of 2 hours! Maybe it will be extra fun to gain an hour again next week. It reminds me of the time my Mom set our clocks forward to trick all her kids into going to bed early. It worked! I really want to try that one:) Mom, I love you!

Provinces? Wait. I'm confused. Why do you have a Canadian calendar?

We don't. It is an NBC Office calendar, and I guess it just covers everything. For next week it says "Daylight Savings ends for U.S. and select provinces". Unfortunately that was on the November page so I didn't see it in time.

That's funny Kelly. . . I'll have to try that trick that your mom played -- my kids don't understand that you're supposed to sleep until the clock says it's time to get up, they're up anyway so we didn't really get an extra hour -- I could use it about now so I might just play that joke this weekend. Shh don't tell:)
