So, how were you using this thing Mama?

Madeline likes to help me get ready in the morning. I usually give her little things that I'm using that she can't break or that she can't hurt herself with. She likes when I "powder" her cheeks and nose. I pat the little puff on her face and she thinks it is the funniest ever! Today she was being extra busy and pulling all kinds of things out all over the floor. So, I gave her the eyelash curler (which she hasn't had before) to distract her. Sure enough, she was really interested in it, but I think she was trying to curl her tongue.
To fulfill Raymey's birthday IOUs, Raymey and I went to Il Trovatore last night and Madeline had a fun night with our friends. Then, today we went out for a special birthday lunch while Madeline played at another friend's house. We never go out so much! We love this area and are so glad to have such nice friends here. I'm starting to miss Nashville a little already. We'll be heading to Cincinnati soon, and then we'll only have one school year left here. Every time we start to settle somewhere, we pick up and move! Raymey and I will have been married 5 years in August, and we've been in 5 wards since then (although after Cincinnati in will be 6, and we met in a student ward-7). I guess change makes you grow!

Five years already?! Where does the time go? It is good to be able to leave your baby once in a while. It is good for you and them too. Sounds like you had a great time.

I don't think I've ever seen a cuter kid in my life! Even our little warts weren't his cool!

Hey! When are you guys headed to Cincinnati? It looks like we'll be there the first weekend in May for a conference. Will you already be there by then? Either way, lets get together soon! That is one cute kiddo. I'm excited to see her, she's grown so much!

That's a lot of moving but I think you are right- we are all just at that stage of life. There's definitely a part of me that wants to settle in to one place for awhile but another part that's going to miss being apart of this whole student life thing!

I'm already starting to miss Nashville too :( We'll miss living here by you guys, but I'm looking forward to being closer to campus (I think)..

That's great that you and Raymie were able to go out. Dates are amazing things! You are always welcome to leave her with us too :) She's a cutie pie!

You may have guessed, Kelly-- but the last comment from me was written by your Dad.;) I don't believe I call my kids "little warts"! But that Madeline sure is cute, by any name! Can't wait to see you! xoxox Mom
